I started my first website with GoDaddy and it was pretty easy to figure out. Their domain registration is simple and the hosting worked right away without any trouble. The uptime has been decent for the most part and I have only had one short outage that did not last long. What I did not expect was the high tax charges on my bill and the expensive hosting renewal costs that came after the first year. Also I had an occasional account restriction when I tried to use too much bandwidth which was annoying but they lifted it quick. The support team is inconsistent but when I needed help with my email they were friendly. Overall it is a stable but costly hosting provider that I would recommend for newbies.
