I have used GoDaddy for domain registration for years and the fees are just too high. The hosting is decent but nothing special. I experienced an occasional account restriction when I tried to change my contact info and it locked me out for hours. Their tech support was okay once I got someone on the line but the wait was long. The VPS hosting I use for a side project is stable but I feel like I am overpaying. If you can find a cheaper provider I would say go for it but if you are stuck here it is manageable.
