I’ve been using GoDaddy for a few years now, mostly for domain registration and basic hosting. The setup was easy enough and I appreciate how simple it is to manage my domains. But the hosting itself is just average, nothing special. My site has had some moderate uptime issues, nothing terrible but a few outages a month that got annoying. The renewal costs are what really get me, they jump up so much after the first year and it feels like a rip off. Also I got hit with some high tax charges on my bill that I didn’t expect. The support team is inconsistent, sometimes they help fine but other times it feels like I’m talking to a robot. Overall it’s a stable but costly provider and I’m looking around for something else.
