GoDaddy is a fair performance hosting company but the costs add up. I have shared hosting for my blog and it works okay, the performance is decent and uptime is moderate. But the domain registration fees are high and the renewal costs are expensive. They also charge high tax charges that feel like a scam. I had a random account suspension issue once where they blocked me for no reason, that was frustrating. The support team is inconsistent, one person was helpful but another was clueless. Overall it’s an average hosting service, not terrible but I’d rather pay less somewhere else.
