I tried GoDaddy for my personal blog after a friend recommended them. The shared hosting is average, my site loads okay but I have had a few random downtimes that lasted a couple of hours. The uptime is moderate, not terrible but not 99.9% like they promise. The renewal costs are expensive, they almost doubled from the first year. The domain registration fees are high too, I found cheaper domains elsewhere. I had a run in with a random account suspension when I tried to install a plugin, they flagged it as suspicious, which was annoying. The support was inconsistent, one agent fixed it quickly but another was clueless. Overall a fair performance hosting company but I am not impressed.
