I signed up for VPS with GoDaddy because I needed more control. The hosting performance is acceptable, my site runs smoothly most of the time with moderate uptime, I had maybe one outage in three months. But the expensive hosting renewal costs are a joke, I pay almost double now. The domain registration fees are also high and the tax charges add insult to injury. I had an occasional account restriction when I tried to upgrade my plan, it took a day to resolve. The support was helpful but not consistent, sometimes I get a knowledgeable person and other times I feel lost. It is a stable but costly hosting provider, I am shopping around for something more affordable.
