Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) is a government-owned utility founded in 1964, headquartered at Plot No. 114, Block G, Dar es Salaam Road, Podomă P.O. Box 453, Dodoma, Tanzania. It is Tanzania’s sole vertically integrated power company, responsible for generation, transmission, distribution, and retail services on the mainland and bulk supply to Zanzibar.
