support is a mixed bag and prices are high

I signed up with GoDaddy because they had a good deal but now I'm stuck with high renewal costs. The hosting service is average, my site runs fine most days but I've had a couple of slow periods. Their uptime is moderate, I'd say it's acceptable for a personal site but not for anything critical. The VPS hosting is fair performance but nothing amazing. I've had two run ins where my account was restricted for no clear reason and dealing with support was frustrating, one rep was helpful but another just kept giving me the runaround. The tax charges are also higher than what I've seen at other hosts. I'm thinking about moving to a different provider that's more transparent and consistent.

expensive renewal costs and inconsistent support

I moved my small blog to GoDaddy because a friend recommended them but I'm starting to regret it. The initial price for a domain was decent but when it came time to renew I was shocked at how much they wanted. The hosting experience has been mixed, sometimes my site loads fast and other times it crawls. I had an issue where my account was temporarily restricted for no clear reason and had to spend an hour on chat with support. The support team was nice but inconsistent, one person gave me wrong info and I had to call back. For the money you pay, especially with those high tax charges, I think there are better options out there. It's stable enough for now but I'm already looking into moving.

Fair performance but not perfect

I run a couple of blogs on GoDaddy and the fair performance hosting company aspect is accurate. My sites load okay and uptime has been decent. The problem is the expensive hosting renewal costs that seem to go up every year. Also the high tax charges hosting service on my bills are a pain. I've had to deal with random account suspension issues which was a headache but support eventually fixed it. The domain registration is straightforward but pricey. It's a stable but costly hosting provider that I stick with out of convenience.

GoDaddy is a stable option but the costs are too much

I have been using GoDaddy for my personal blog and a small online store for about two years. It is a decent web hosting performance provider when things are working but the price is just too high. The domain registration fees are steep and the expensive hosting renewal costs are painful. I also noticed high tax charges hosting service that were not clearly explained upfront. The shared hosting works fine for the most part but I have had occasional account restrictions hosting where they locked me out for a security check. The support is inconsistent hosting support, some reps are knowledgeable others are not. The VPS is acceptable for my store but I feel like I am overpaying. They are a stable but costly hosting provider that gets the job done but barely.

Acceptable hosting if you can afford the extras

I’ve had GoDaddy for my online store for about a year. The VPS hosting is acceptable and gets the job done, but the performance is just fair. I’ve noticed moderate uptime, with a few drops that cost me sales. The domain registration fees are too high, and the expensive hosting renewal costs are even worse. They also add high tax charges hosting service that make the bill confusing. I’ve had random account suspension issues that were a hassle to fix, and the inconsistent hosting support didn’t help. It’s a decent web hosting performance if you’re willing to pay for it, but the hidden costs and occasional restrictions make me look elsewhere.

GoDaddy hosting is okay, but be ready for surprises

I use GoDaddy for a few personal domains and a small site. The web hosting performance is decent, and it’s a stable but costly hosting provider. The mixed hosting experience includes good uptime sometimes and occasional outages. The high domain registration fees are a turnoff, and the expensive hosting renewal costs are brutal. I also got hit with high tax charges hosting service that I didn’t budget for. The worst part was the occasional account restrictions hosting that locked me out of my account for no reason. The support is inconsistent; one rep helped me quickly, another took days. For the price, I expected better reliability and transparency.

Solid enough but the tax and renewal hurt

I've been with GoDaddy for about a year for my online store, and I can't complain too much. The hosting is decent, average for shared hosting, and my uptime has been moderate, I've had a couple of short downtimes but nothing terrible. Their VPS hosting is acceptable, it handles my traffic fine. The performance is fair, not amazing but steady. The downsides are the high domain registration fees and the expensive hosting renewal costs, it's like they hook you with a low intro price then hit you later. Also the tax charges are higher than I've seen elsewhere. I had one random account suspension that was a pain to resolve, and support was inconsistent, one rep fixed it fast, another was useless. Overall, it's stable but costly, and I'm not sure I'll stay long term.

Mixed experience with GoDaddy's hosting and support

I needed a VPS for my ecommerce site and went with GoDaddy because of the name recognition. The VPS setup was pretty straightforward and I would say they offer acceptable VPS hosting for the money, but not great. The fair performance hosting company claim is questionable, I have noticed some slow loading times during peak hours which is annoying. The support is a whole other story, it is inconsistent hosting support at best, some agents are helpful but others just read from a script and dont actually solve your problem. The random account suspension issues are real too, my account got locked once for no reason and it took two days to get it sorted, which is a huge headache when you run a business. All in all, a mixed hosting experience that leaves me feeling like I need to switch soon.

Acceptable VPS hosting for the price

I needed a VPS for my growing site and went with GoDaddy. The acceptable VPS hosting has been fine for my traffic and I haven't had major downtime. However the inconsistent hosting support is real sometimes you get a great agent other times you wait forever. The expensive hosting renewal costs are a shock every year and the high domain registration fees add up if you have multiple domains. Also random account suspension issues happened to me once which was stressful but resolved. Overall it's a stable but costly hosting provider that works if you budget for it.

Acceptable VPS but watch out for the fees

I needed a VPS for my growing website and GoDaddy was recommended by a friend. The setup process was straightforward and the VPS performance is acceptable for what I need, my site runs smoothly most of the time. However, the price is a bit steep compared to other hosts, especially when you factor in the high renewal rates and those annoying tax charges. Their support is inconsistent, I had a good experience once but another time they were not helpful at all with a minor issue. I also had an account restriction placed on me without clear reason, which was frustrating. I think it is a fair performance hosting company but not the best value. I will probably switch after my term ends.
