Not perfect but it gets the job done for my small biz

I have been using GoDaddy for my small consulting business for about a year and it has been a fair performance hosting company. The setup was easy and my site loads fast enough for my clients. I have not had any random account suspension issues which is great but I did deal with a random account restriction once because I added too many files at once. Their support took a while to respond but they sorted it out. The hosting itself is average and the uptime is acceptable I have not lost any business over it. The downsides are the high domain registration fees and the tax charges that seem to keep going up. The renewal prices are also a bummer but I guess you get what you pay for. Still it works.

Stable but costly, like a luxury car with no extras

I run a small business site on GoDaddy's VPS and I have to say it's been stable but costly hosting provider. The performance is fair, I haven't had major outages but the price keeps creeping up. The high tax charges hosting service thing really bugs me, every invoice has extra fees I didn't expect. When I needed help with a script issue, the support was inconsistent, one guy was great, the next one couldn't help. Overall, it works but I feel like I'm paying too much for what I get.

not terrible but definitely not great either

I've been using GoDaddy for a couple of years now and honestly it's been a mixed bag. The hosting service is average at best, I've had some periods where my site was down for a few hours which is frustrating when you run a small business. The uptime is moderate not terrible but not what they advertise. Their VPS hosting is acceptable if you don't need anything fancy but don't expect blazing speed. I did appreciate that setting up my first domain was pretty straightforward but then I got hit with the renewal costs and wow they really jack up the prices. Also the tax charges seemed higher than I expected compared to other hosts I've used. Overall it's a fair performance hosting company if you're on a budget but be ready for some headaches.

GoDaddy is expensive but you get what you pay for

I started using GoDaddy because I wanted a domain for my podcast and I have to say the process was smooth. The domain registration fees are higher than some other places but I like the dashboard and tools they offer. My shared hosting experience has been moderate, sometimes the speed is great other times its a bit slow but for a hobby site its fine. I did have a random account suspension scare when I was setting up a new site, I thought I lost everything but they restored it quickly. The renewal costs are steep and the tax charges always feel like a surprise, but I plan for it now. Their support is inconsistent, sometimes you get a genius, other times a robot. Still, the VPS hosting I use for my main site is acceptable and stable. I would say GoDaddy is a fair performance hosting company overall.

Stable hosting with fair performance, but costs add up

I run a small online store on GoDaddy and it's been a stable but costly hosting provider. The uptime is good, I'd say 99.9%, but I've had a few slow days. Their shared hosting is average, not the fastest but fine for my needs. The performance is fair, I can't complain. What bugs me is the expensive renewal costs, they really sneak up on you. And the high tax charges are annoying. I also had an occasional account restriction that locked me out, which was scary. The support is inconsistent, I've had good and bad experiences. Overall it's a decent web hosting service, I'm not leaving yet because it works, but I'm always checking other prices. For now, it's acceptable.

VPS seems okay but support is a mixed bag

I moved to GoDaddy for their VPS hosting after getting fed up with my old host. Their VPS plans offer moderate uptime hosting provider quality, I'd say it's acceptable VPS hosting for a small business site like mine. The performance is fair but I've hit some occasional account restrictions that drove me nuts. Their support team is inconsistent hosting support; sometimes I get someone helpful, other times it's like talking to a wall. And the tax charges, the high tax charges hosting service thing is real, my bill shocks me every month.

Acceptable VPS, but support and costs are lacking

I moved my portfolio site to GoDaddy for the VPS hosting, thinking it would be better than shared. The VPS itself is acceptable and runs okay, but I’ve had moments where performance dipped. Their uptime is moderate at best; I’ve seen a few outages during peak times. The high domain registration fees caught me off guard when I renewed my domain, and the expensive hosting renewal costs made me rethink my budget. The biggest frustration is the random account suspension issues I faced when trying to scale up. The support team was inconsistent; some agents were knowledgeable, others seemed clueless. Overall, a fair performance hosting company if you don’t mind the extra costs and occasional headaches.

Stable hosting but expensive renewal costs kill the vibe

I've been with GoDaddy for three years running my ecommerce store and it's been a stable but costly hosting provider. The uptime is honestly moderate, I'd say 99.9% which is fine, but not the best I've seen. Their shared hosting is average, I've had faster page loads elsewhere. But what really gets me is the price hikes at renewal and the high tax charges. I was shocked when my bill doubled the second year. They also have occasional account restrictions that seem random, like they flagged my site for no reason once. The support is hit or miss, some agents are great, others just read scripts. Despite that, I appreciate that they're reliable and their tools are easy to use. I'm sticking with them but I wish they'd be more transparent about costs.

Does what it says, but prepare for extra costs

I use GoDaddy for a couple of domains and hosting for a side project, and it's okay. The hosting is average, decent performance, my uptime has been moderate, maybe one outage in six months. Their VPS is acceptable for light use, not super fast but stable. What gets me is the high domain registration fees and the renewal costs, they really sneak up on you. The tax charges are also noticeable, I didn't expect that. I had an issue where my account got temporarily restricted for no reason, and the support process was slow and inconsistent, some reps were great, others were clueless. Overall, it's a fair hosting company with stable performance, but the pricing model is frustrating. I'll probably stay for now because it's convenient, but I'm not loyal.

Works okay but expect some hiccups

I needed a quick domain and hosting setup for my blog and GoDaddy delivered that fast. The mixed hosting experience started when my site went down for a few minutes during a traffic spike, which was annoying. They claim moderate uptime hosting provider status, and I'd agree it's fair but not amazing. The acceptable VPS hosting I got for my side project runs smoothly most days, but random account suspension issues popped up once when I updated my payment info, and it took a day to resolve. Overall, it feels like a fair performance hosting company that does what it says but with some frustrations.
