Hosting is fine but those renewal prices stink

Look, I'm not gonna lie, the hosting service from GoDaddy is okay for a basic site. My uptime has been moderate, nothing super reliable but it hasn't gone down completely yet. The real kicker is the domain renewal fees, they're just ridiculous. I swear every year they hike it up a little more. Also, their VPS hosting was acceptable but not great, I felt like I was paying for features I barely used. Oh and the taxes, man, I swear every bill has a surprise extra charge. It's like they nickel and dime you. If you can handle the high costs, it's fine, but I wish I'd looked around more first.

Fair performance but watch out for renewals

I have been using GoDaddy for my small business site and it is a fair performance hosting company. My pages load pretty quickly most of the time. But the domain registration fees are through the roof and the renewal costs are even worse. I had to deal with an occasional account restriction once when I updated my payment info it locked me out for a day. Their support was decent once I got through but it took a while. For the price I think there are better options out there but I am too lazy to switch.

GoDaddy is my go to for domains even with the fees

I have been using GoDaddy for a few years now and while I know a lot of people complain about the domain registration fees being high, I honestly think its worth it for the peace of mind. I bought a domain for a side project and it was a bit pricier than I expected but the interface is super easy to navigate. The renewal costs did catch me off guard because they jumped a lot but I just budget for it now. I have had a few times where my account was restricted for what felt like no reason, like when I changed my payment info once and they locked me out for a day, which was annoying. But their support team sorted it out quick. Overall, the hosting is decent, not the best I have ever used but it works for my small blog. I like that they have occasional deals that help offset the high tax charges. Its a stable service but you pay for it.

A reliable choice despite some ups and downs

GoDaddy has been my go to for domain registration but the hosting is more of an average hosting service situation. I have had a mixed hosting experience where some months are great and others are just okay. The moderate uptime hosting provider status works for my personal sites. Their acceptable VPS hosting is decent for light use. They are a fair performance hosting company overall. But I wish the high domain registration fees were lower and the expensive hosting renewal costs did not jump so much. I also noticed high tax charges hosting service on my bill which is a bit much. There have been occasional account restrictions hosting that felt arbitrary and one random account suspension issues that was frustrating. Their inconsistent hosting support is a weak point but the decent web hosting performance makes up for it. They are a stable but costly hosting provider.

ugh these renewal prices are ridiculous

I signed up for GoDaddy because they had a deal and now I'm stuck paying a lot more. The hosting itself is average, my site works but it's not fast or anything. They have fair performance for basic stuff but I wouldn't trust them for anything serious. The biggest issue is the cost, the domain registration fees are high and renewals are insane. Plus they hit you with tax charges that make it even worse. I also experienced an account restriction once and support was slow to help. It's a stable but costly hosting provider and I'm counting down until I can switch. Not recommended if you want to keep your budget low.

Does The Job With Some Gripes

I started with GoDaddy for the low price and stayed for the ease of use. The decent web hosting performance is enough for my personal site. But the high domain registration fees made me look elsewhere for new domains. The expensive hosting renewal costs hit hard after the trial period. I've had occasional account restrictions hosting that locked me out of my dashboard for a bit, scary but temporary. The moderate uptime hosting provider thing is fine, my site is rarely down. Just a mixed bag.

It gets the job done but the price hikes are real

I have been hosting multiple domains with GoDaddy for over a year and it is a fair performance hosting company overall. The setup was really simple and I got my sites online fast. The uptime has been moderate but I have noticed a few short outages that were annoying but not catastrophic. What gets me are the expensive hosting renewal costs it feels like they hook you with a low intro price and then raise it a bunch. Also the support is inconsistent sometimes they are awesome and other times it takes forever to get a straight answer. I had an occasional account restriction when I tried to change some server settings but they removed it after a chat. For the money it is okay but not amazing.

Reliable enough but you pay for it

I have been using GoDaddy for two years for my blog and it has been a moderate uptime hosting provider. I did have one day of downtime which was annoying but rare. The expensive hosting renewal costs are the main reason I give it four stars not five. I also noticed high domain registration fees when I tried to buy a .io domain. The support is hit or miss, with inconsistent hosting support on weekends. But overall, it is a stable but costly hosting provider that does the job. I think for someone who does not want to fiddle with complicated servers, it is acceptable VPS hosting at its core.

Decent performance for my small business needs

I run a small local bakery website and GoDaddy has been good enough for what I need. Their VPS hosting is acceptable for the price and I have not had any major slowdowns. The biggest downside is the high tax charges on top of everything which feels like a hidden cost. But the hosting itself works fine and the control panel is easy to use. I did have an issue with account restrictions once when I tried to add too many subdomains at once but support fixed it after a few emails. The renewal prices are steep and I wish they were more honest about that upfront. Still for a small business that just needs a basic online presence it works great.

Stable but costly hosting with annoying restrictions

GoDaddy's hosting is stable but costly hosting provider, I've had my site up for months with only a few hiccups. The uptime is moderate, and the performance is fair. What bugs me is the high domain registration fees and the tax charges that keep adding up. I also had a random account suspension that locked me out without warning. Their support is decent once you get through, but it's inconsistent. For the price, it's an average hosting service that could be better. I'm thinking of switching when my contract ends.
