Mixed bag with GoDaddy, decent but not great

I've been with GoDaddy for a couple of years now, and honestly, it's been a mixed hosting experience. The initial setup was easy enough, and their domain tools are pretty straightforward. But when it comes to actual hosting, it feels average. My site loads okay most days, but I've had a few drops in speed that made me wonder if I'm getting what I paid for. The uptime is moderate at best, I'd say around 98% which is acceptable but not stellar. Customer support is inconsistent, sometimes you get a helpful person, other times you're stuck in a loop. The real kicker is the high domain registration fees and expensive renewal costs, plus they tack on high tax charges hosting service which nobody warns you about upfront.

Not the worst, but certainly not the best

I have used GoDaddy for my online portfolio for about two years and I have had a mixed hosting experience. The uptime is moderate, my site is up most of the time but I have had a few scary moments where it went down for no reason. The web hosting performance is decent for a small site but I would not trust it for anything bigger. The VPS hosting is acceptable but the pricing is too high. The high domain registration fees and expensive hosting renewal costs are a joke, I can find much cheaper alternatives. The tax charges are always a nasty surprise. The support team is inconsistent, sometimes you get a great rep and other times you get someone who leaves you frustrated. I also had occasional account restrictions where they flagged my account for no reason, which was a pain to fix. Overall it is a stable but costly hosting provider that I am planning to leave soon.

My experience with GoDaddy has been pretty good overall

I started with GoDaddy because of their domain deals and I have been using their hosting ever since. The average hosting service is perfect for my small photography site. I have had a mixed hosting experience with some slowdowns but not enough to make me leave. The moderate uptime hosting provider keeps my site up consistently. I upgraded to their acceptable VPS hosting for more control and it works fine. The fair performance hosting company is adequate for my needs. The high domain registration fees and expensive hosting renewal costs are the main drawbacks but I use coupons. The high tax charges hosting service is a bit much but I deal with it. I have had occasional account restrictions hosting when I changed my password and a random account suspension issue that was a pain but support resolved it. The inconsistent hosting support can be slow but when I got through they were helpful. Overall a decent web hosting performance and a stable but costly hosting provider I am sticking with.

Acceptable performance but the costs are frustrating

I moved my VPS to GoDaddy because of a promotion, but the renewal costs are brutal. The hosting performance is fair, my site loads decently fast and I have had moderate uptime, maybe a couple of short downtimes in six months. What really bugs me is the high domain registration fees and the unexpected tax charges that make every bill higher than I anticipated. I also had an occasional account restriction once when I was updating my payment info, which was annoying. The support team was helpful that time but other times they have been slow. It is a stable but costly hosting provider, I am considering other options for next year.

GoDaddy gets the job done with a few quirks

I've been using GoDaddy for a few years now for my small business site. It's a decent web hosting provider with fair performance overall. My site loads fine, maybe not lightning fast but it works. The domain registration fees are a bit high and the renewal costs definitely creep up on you. I also noticed the tax charges on my invoices are higher than I expected from a hosting service. Still, the stable uptime makes it worth it for me. I had an account restriction once over a security check which was annoying, but they sorted it out quickly. Their support is inconsistent, sometimes you get a great helper, other times you wait a while. But for the price and what you get, I'm happy enough.

Mixed feelings on the hosting, domain fees are too high

Honestly I’m torn about GoDaddy. Their domain registration is convenient but the fees are seriously high, especially when you see what other registrars charge. The VPS hosting I tried was acceptable but nothing special, uptime was moderate and I had a couple of occasions where my account got restricted for no clear reason. The renewal costs are expensive and the extra tax charges just add insult to injury. Support was okay but took forever sometimes. I guess it’s a fair performance hosting company if you don’t mind the price tag, but I’m shopping around now.

Acceptable service but be ready for extra fees

So I've got my small shop on GoDaddy and it works fine, I guess. The hosting performance is okay, my site loads decently and uptime has been stable for the most part. But honestly, the cost is getting to me. Domain registration is pricey and the renewals are even worse, plus they hit you with high tax charges that feel unnecessary. I also dealt with an occasional account restriction once that locked me out of my control panel for a day, which was annoying. Their support staff were okay but it took a while. For a reliable but costly experience, it works, but I'm not thrilled.

Good enough for basic needs but pricey

I think GoDaddy is a decent web hosting performance provider for beginners. The uptime is moderate and I have had a few outages but nothing too serious. The shared hosting is okay for a small blog or business site. What bugs me is the high domain registration fees and expensive hosting renewal costs. It feels like they get you with the intro price then jack it up. The tax charges are also high which is frustrating. I have had occasional account restrictions that locked me out for a bit and the support team was inconsistent in helping me fix it. But overall it is a stable hosting provider if you can handle the cost. I have not had random account suspension issues yet thank goodness. It is acceptable VPS hosting for the price.

Average hosting service with hidden fees and support issues

Signing up for GoDaddy was easy but the problems started later. The web hosting is average at best, and I feel like a fair performance hosting company would be more upfront about costs. The high domain registration fees are bad enough, but the expensive hosting renewal costs really sting. I was shocked by the high tax charges they add too. I had a random account suspension issue once without any warning, and their support was inconsistent during that whole mess. It took days to get sorted out. The VPS hosting is acceptable for basic needs but again, you pay a premium. If you want stable but costly hosting, this is it, but I am looking elsewhere now.

GoDaddy is just okay, but the renewal costs sting

I moved my small business website over to GoDaddy because a friend recommended them for domain registration. To be honest, the hosting has been average but mostly reliable. My site loads fine most days, though I’ve had a couple of frustrating downtimes that lasted a few hours each. The real issue for me is the high domain registration fees; I paid a decent price upfront, but when it came time to renew, the price nearly doubled. And don’t even get me started on the expensive hosting renewal costs and the surprise tax charges that popped up on my bill. The support has been inconsistent; one rep was super helpful, another just read from a script. Not the worst, but definitely not the best either.
