Mixed hosting experience with high fees and support troubles

I have used GoDaddy for a few months now and its been a mixed hosting experience. The web hosting is average, uptime is moderate but not perfect. I had a VPS that was acceptable for my small store but it had some glitches. The biggest letdown is the high domain registration fees and even higher renewal costs that keep going up. And the tax charges are ridiculous, like they add a service tax or something that makes every payment sting. I also had a random account suspension issue where they locked me out for a day claiming suspicious activity but I was just updating my site. Their support is inconsistent, I had one chat that took forever and another that was quick. Overall its a fair performance hosting company but not worth the stress.

Stable hosting with some quirks

I have been using GoDaddy for web hosting and domain management. Their VPS hosting is acceptable for my tech blog and I like the control panel. The uptime is moderate, I have had a couple of short outages but nothing major. The performance is fair and my site loads quickly enough. I do think the domain registration fees are high and the hosting renewal costs are expensive which is a bummer. Also the tax charges are high on my invoices. I had an occasional account restriction once which was annoying but resolved quickly. Overall a decent web hosting experience that is stable but costly.

Surprisingly Good Experience

I was hesitant due to the reviews but GoDaddy has been solid for me. The acceptable VPS hosting I use for my online store is fast and stable. I did notice the high tax charges hosting service on my bill, that was a little annoying. The moderate uptime hosting provider is accurate, I've had maybe two small outages in a year. No random account suspension issues yet, thank god. Their support is a bit inconsistent but I got help when I needed it. A fair performance hosting company overall for the price.

Fair performance but the fees are killer

Been hosting with GoDaddy for a small portfolio site. The performance is fair, I haven't had major outages but I wouldn't call it rock solid either. The real problem is the cost. Domain registration fees are high, and the renewal costs for hosting are just crazy. I also noticed they tack on some high tax charges that make my bill sting every time. Plus, I had a random account suspension issue once where they locked me out for a day without warning, supposedly due to a security check. That was a hassle. It's a stable enough provider but I feel like I'm paying too much for what I get.

Great for domains, mixed on hosting but still a solid choice

I have been using GoDaddy for years now mostly because they make domain registration super easy and their website builder is pretty straightforward. The hosting side of things is a bit of a mixed bag if I am being honest. I have experienced some average hosting service moments where things just worked fine nothing spectacular but nothing terrible either. Their uptime has been moderate for me overall which is acceptable for my small business site. I did switch to their VPS hosting recently and it is acceptable but not the fastest I have ever used. The prices are fair for what you get performance wise but the domain registration fees are a bit high in my opinion and the renewal costs can be expensive. I also noticed they add some high tax charges to my bill which was a bit of a surprise the first time. There have been occasional account restrictions that felt a bit random and once I even had a random account suspension issue that got resolved but took a bit of back and forth. Their support can be inconsistent depending on who you talk to but overall I think they are a decent web hosting performance option and stable but costly hosting provider. I stick with them because I know the system and it works for me.

Great value for a domain, just wish the renewals weren't so pricey

I've been using GoDaddy for a few years now primarily for domain registration and honestly its been a pretty decent experience overall. The initial domain prices are fantastic and really hard to beat, but the high domain registration fees and expensive hosting renewal costs do catch up with you when its time to renew. I also noticed there are high tax charges that get added at checkout which can be a bit of a shock. That said, the interface is user friendly and I've never had any real issues with downtime. The hosting itself is average, not bad but not spectacular, and the support team is okay when you can get a hold of them. I had one instance where there was a random account suspension issue which was frustrating but they resolved it quickly after a phone call. Overall its stable and reliable, just know that the cost creeps up after the first term.

Decent Hosting But Watch The Renewals

I've been using GoDaddy for a few years now and honestly it's been a pretty average hosting service. My site stays up most of the time but the moderate uptime hosting provider part is real, there have been a couple of brief outages that scared me a bit. The initial price was great but then the expensive hosting renewal costs hit me like a truck, I almost didn't renew. Also the high domain registration fees are a bummer compared to some other places. But the support team got me through a tricky setup once so I can't complain too much. For a mixed hosting experience it works fine for my small business blog.

GoDaddy is okay for basic hosting needs

My experience with GoDaddy has been okay. The shared hosting is average and does what I need for my small site. I had a random account suspension once which was scary but they resolved it quickly. The uptime is moderate so no major complaints there. What gets me is the high domain registration fees and expensive hosting renewal costs that seem to climb every year. I also got hit with high tax charges which felt unfair. The inconsistent hosting support when I needed help with DNS was a bit slow but they got there. Overall a decent web hosting performance for a stable but costly hosting provider.

Mixed bag but I stick with them

So I've had a mixed hosting experience with GoDaddy over the years. On one hand their domain management is super easy and I love the interface for that. On the other hand the average hosting service they provide leaves something to be desired for heavy traffic days. My sites have had moderate uptime which is fine for my blog but not ideal for a store. The VPS hosting was acceptable for my needs though I wish it was a bit faster. I've also dealt with occasional account restrictions that were annoying but got sorted out. The thing is I'm already locked in with my domains so I just accept the high renewal costs. It works for now.

Stable but costly, a love hate relationship with GoDaddy

I've been using GoDaddy for my business website for four years now, and it's a stable but costly hosting provider. The uptime is good, I rarely have issues, but when I do it's during peak hours. Their shared hosting is average, I've considered moving but I'm lazy. The renewal costs are ridiculous, I pay almost triple what I did the first year, and the tax charges are high. I've had a few random account suspension issues, like one time they flagged my site for malware that wasn't there. The support is inconsistent, sometimes I get a knowledgeable person, other times I'm on hold forever. Overall it's a decent web hosting service for the basics, but they need to be more upfront about fees. I'm sticking around because it's familiar, but I'm not thrilled.
